Vented Gas Fireplaces
Gas fireplaces combine the concepts of gas logs sets and
factory-built fireplaces (the metal firebox surrounded by an air space
and a metal cabinet). The metal cabinet and airspace around the firebox
housing the log set allow for close clearances to combustible framing.
The face of the fireplace can be finished with non-combustibles and
with combustible mantle and trim at safe clearances. Vented gas fireplaces
are available with Type B gas vent and direct vent.
